Any other moms to be that are anemic? How much iron should you be getting? My doctor said I need to take iron pills but it went over my head to ask how many mg I should take.. Walmart here only has 65 mg iron supplements but I feel like that is a lot. I tried to call but I was on hold for 20 minutes & I have to get ready for work. 😕

I was given a prescription for Ferrous Sulfate 325mg, i take once a day. Your doctor didn't write you a prescription?

yeah usually iron pills are 325, usually once to twice a day depending on how low your iron is. I would start with one and double check with the doc when they finally answer. But start with just one. I'm severely anemic I have to get IV'S of iron cuz I don't absorb the pills for some reason. been like that for 14 years....

call your doc and ask, because every woman is different. I was prescribed 325 mg of Ferrous Sulfate 2x per day, most women only need to take one. Others take 3 by prescription. Your best bet is to call.

Just curious what prenatals y'all are taking. Everyone I burp or get heartburn I can taste the iron in my vitamin and it's not helping with my morning sickness at all.
IUI Monday!! So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years!!! It was a good thing we picked up a trigger shot before we left too :-)

My doctor also recommended me getting the flu shot while pregnant ? I'm not sure if I want to or if i should ? It's all scary to me !! What do you ladies think ? Did you get the flu shot while pregnant ? Are there any risks? Or should I wait ? I'm so scared of taking anything while pregnant , much less getting this shot.. He said it isn't mandatory , just recommended.
