OH can't even get paternity leave😠 so booking two weeks off around due date as holiday days, even though baby could come late or early😠 so annoyed.
he earns a lot more than the £139 a week and we couldn't live on that a week:/xx
Ordinary paternity leave
You can take up to two weeks' ordinary paternity leave immediately after your baby is born, or any time within the following eight weeks. You're eligible for paternity leave if:
you're the baby's biological father, or the mum's husband or long-term partner
you'll be sharing responsibility for your baby's care
you have a contract of employment
you earn more than £112 a week before tax
you've been working for your employer for at least 26 weeks continuously by the end of the 15th week before your baby is due
If you qualify for ordinary paternity leave, you can choose whether to take one week or two weeks off. If you decide to take two weeks' leave, you must take them together.
Statutory paternity leave is paid at the same rate as statutory maternity pay. This is £139.58 per week or 90 per cent of your average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
It's worth checking your employment contract to see if your employer offers its own range of paternity benefits. They may be better for you and your family than the statutory arrangements.
He can take paternity leave up to, I think, 3 months after baby is born! Not 100% sure about the timings, but he doesn't have to take it straight away, so if it means by the time baby is here he would have been there 2 years, it might be worth waiting a little bit. Don't hold me to that though, I might be wrong! xxx
But then i think he can take patetnity leave at any stage in the first year of baby being born so by the time hes with the company 2 yrs baby will only be roughly a month so he can take it then aswell
Has he spoken to them, my other half has asked to use his holiday but will need to take it when she arrives and they've said yes ! Always worth an ask
it is, it's lucky he can take holiday days, he's worried just in case he takes them off and he doesn't come in that time but I no we will be fine xx
The dad of my baby not involved doing it alone and my mums work won't give her 2 weeks off even as a hol think she's goin to phone in sick I have no idea what to do with a baby and need a bit of help! It's shocking xx
Yes, he's a deputy manager at aldi, but in his contract it say he has to be there 2 years to get anything and he's only been with company a year and and a half xx
I'm due on 11th may so he's booking 9th-23rd may off xx
We made the mistake of booking on due date & then only getting a few days. Baby was due on 5th.. Didn't come till 15th!!! So we wasted the time baby-less 😅
I see so many mommies giving their babies rice cereal to sleep even though it's not recommended? Why?

Ezra Pimentel is here! I did it ladies! No meds not even an IV! 7lbs, 3oz 19 inches! So perfect!

Haven't even had my shower yet! Couponing is so much fun!
I'm so hurt 😔 I wouldn't even wish this on my worse enemy.
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
He can take paternity leave he just isn't entitled to be paid for it. He just has to tell his hr department the expected due date, that he wants to take two weeks of holiday starting from when the baby arrives/you go into labour.the rate of pay is terrible so my Husband, took one week paternity and one holiday. when my son was born he took two weeks holiday as he hadn't been with the company long enough.
