Hey girls! I'm a terrible preggie and haven't been on here in forever since baby Dove has been sick. Wanted to update you all... she's had 4 hospitalizations from the salmonella, with the last admission due to her developing c.diff. She's still on antibiotics, and in pain during every feed, but we are slowly on the mend. She's 7 weeks and 4 days old and is in the 2nd percentile for weight at just 7lbs 3.5oz. Aside from all of the health issues, she's been such a happy and smiley baby. I really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. I promise to update more often... miss all my preggie OGs! ❤️

@babyboy1202, I feel the same way about Dove. Even though she's been so sick and she cries so much, I wouldn't trade any of it.
@levleah, haha, me too. Sometimes I think that its only my baby like this. Im looking at other babies they r happy smiling babies, but mine total diff 😂. But when I look at him I know that he worth it. All sleepless nights, all nerves, and everything else

@levleah, i know. Same here. Feel so bad when u cant help ur own kid. I wish we can take their pain. I have to enjoy each day but instead I want him to grow faster so this problems will be in the past
@babyboy1202, she did have problems on neocate but when we switched back to nutramigen, they got worse. We had to put her back on neocate because it is the most elemental formula and the only formula that stopped the blood in her stool. She's doing much better on it now. She also has acid reflux and is on zantac. It's so hard having a baby with stomach/bowel issues because they have pain but there's nothing you can do. 😔
@levleah, u said before that she had a problem with neocate. U was on nutramigen. We went to GE doc didnt find any problem beside acid reflux. We were taken zantac and nexium but nothing help. Now we just switch to enfamil a r. But still, same problem. Plus he is gassy and has colic.
@babyboy1202, this is the same problem with Dove. She also has a severe milk protein allergy and is on neocate. She cries all the time 😢😫
@levleah, we still has the same problem. Crying all the time. Only time when he is not crying when he sleeps and eat 😂
awwww poor thing that stinks having no answers I feel awful that u had to feel her pain and see her go thru this and for what she has endured you're a strong good mommy
@virgosweetness, We aren't sure. We had the health dept come out and inspect our house but they found no evidence of contamination. She was diagnosed at 18 days old and from the time she was born until she was diagnosed, I hadn't cooked any chicken or eggs (was doing frozen dinners and crock pot meals since I was so exhausted from being a ftm), so she wasn't infected that way. Adults can get mild cases with only diarrhea as a symptom and it can resolve on its own. Most likely someone had been exposed and gave it to her after not washing their hands well enough. Unfortunately, there's really no way of us knowing for sure. 😔

@levleah, poor thing with c diff. Is she on vancomycin PO for that? She's your little fighter. And she's getting so big. And continued prayers and thoughts your way. Always thinking about you both and I know this too shall pass. You're a great mom and I'm sure daddy is awesome too. Xoxo
