So totally not mom related but sort of...my fiancé and I have been engaged two years now. Can't afford a big wedding and with baby now it's almost near impossible to save enough for a big beautiful wedding. He won't do a court house wedding, he says I deserve what every girl dreams of. Like for Pete sake I already call him hubby like let's get things rolling. So my question anyone have a certain amount of time after baby they waited and for any reason. Like did you want until baby was one or two so they could be apart of the wedding? Did you wait longer so they could understand better? Or did y'all just jump and do it??

I have a suggestion...maybe you can talk him into a courthouse wedding with a nice reception then later down the road when the children are older and you saved some money from a couple income taxes you could renew your vows with an actual big wedding...I can't wait for mine ..my SO and I will have been together for 2 years this Feb 13th and we've been through a lot together in that time..he got me out of a bad situation and then I was in the shelter and he found us a home together then we had our Noah..but he still isn't ready to propose yet....I keep dropping hints and calling him hubby and he says he wants to and calls me wifey but he says he wants to wait till Noah is a little older...I wish he'd do it soon though. who says you have to be married right after proposal...hell my dad's been engaged to his fience since I was about 8 and I'm now 22 and they're still not yet married.
what me and my boyfriend are going to the court house first because we don't want I daughter to be older and us not married.. but we are going to finish college and save on the way to get ready for our church wedding
