Question for all you mommies and mommies to be.
Would you be ok with a doctor completely changing things on you? (Example. Medications and adding new ones).
Went to maternal and fetal medicine yesterday. They not only didn't listen to a word I said. But they went and said I need to change everything. Put me on a 2 carb per meal diet. Put me on a medication that I TOLD them I lose drastic weight on. And had me sign a paper stating if I lost the baby they weren't responsible for the medicine changes. I am NOT ok with this. Not only that but the dietician looked at me and told me "aspartame is good for you" NO ITS ISNT ANY DIABETIC DOCTOR WOULD HAVE SLAPPED HER FOR THAT. I've taken the classes.
I have been told by not only previous moms but people in the medical field that losing drastic amounts of weight when you are "high risk" is dangerous. I get that I'm overweight but if it's only me you are looking at then it can wait. I was losing weight prior to the baby.
Idk I need advice.

I would be finding a new provided and wouldn't be signing a single thing.

@kmally, I called my obgyn today (went in at 1:30 they kept me Til 5:45 he was out of office by then) I told his nurse my concerns. She is telling him. And if he agrees with them i most definitely will be leaving. They haven't even faxed him anything. They knew nothing of the changes

Yeah. I'm beginning to get very irate. You can experiment with me. But not my child

If you feel uncomfortable with anything, you should always get a second opinion. Sometimes I feel that doctors get so wrapped up in their "smarts" that they get overconfident and therefore mess things up. And I certainly would NOT sign anything that clears them of any responsibility of harm to your child. That seems illegal to me... Idk. Sorry you had to go through that );
