Was induced (with Pitocin) with my other two deliveries and will be induced tomorrow morning. The first time was super painful! I did it without an epidural and don't remember much because of the amount of pain. The second... I received an epidural right away and didn't feel any contractions/pain. They had to tell me when I was contracting so I knew when to push. And my daughter was transverse so had to be turned during labor... still didn't feel any pain! I think it depends on the person, induction drug, pain meds, etc.
yes... the worst pain you can feel, my first pregnancy they try to induce me and let me all night with pain, next day I have c section
it makes the contractions more painful. I got the epidural before getting induced and once i got the medicine to induce in the IV i felt like i had never got the epidural because the epidural wasnt helping with pain. But its different with everyone.
I was induced for my first . it was easier than my second when I went in labor naturally.
the worst thing to me was the IV and breaking the water.
I got induced and actually it was pretty easy labor for me I felt my contraction and they didn't hurt but I did get an epidural at 6 just in case they did start getting too painful for me
@preggimama, ya that's about right. The actual induction doesn't hurt, they put the medicine in thru the IV but it does make contractions more intense. The medicine can make you super itchy
i heard getting induced itself doesnt hurt, but it can make the contractions more painful and intense!
All my kids i was induced very painfully my first child i got a epidural and the nurse told me to get comfortable and i laid on my right side big mistake because i could feel the contractions on my left side. My second kid i was induced and it was too late for me to get a epidural so i felt everything very painful. The last two kids wants that bad but was induced as well.
