At what point did you ladies who've had their babies call the maternity unit? I've been getting pains for the past few days and lightening so I can barely walk. The pain is starting to get more intense, so much so that I struggle to keep up a conversation and belly is tightening but there's no pattern to it yet😬

I was back and forth for 3 days with painful but irregular contractions as I was in a whole lot of pain they kept sending me home until the 3rd day they kept me in and then helped me progress In labour

My contractions started at 4.40am I laid in bed timing them.. Then woke my OH up around 7.30 and asked him to ring as they were getting stronger.. They advised it sounded like early labour.. I asked if I should take a codeine (I was already prescribed them for SPD) they said yes, and to come into the hospital when I need stronger pain relief.. I got a hot water bottle and I timed my contractions again.. By 2pm I felt I needed something stronger he codeine wore off and contractions getting stronger still.. Got to the hospital for 3pm.. Xx
