My husband being from the south loves southern comfort food...something I'm not overly familiar with. Regardless I'm trying to my hand at some crockpot chicken and dumplings...anyone have a proven recipe or do I have to put all my faith in Pinterest?

The recipe I found calls for biscuits- I didn't realize they could be made out of anything else @harrisonfamily11 haha I sound hopeless...luckily my boys aren't too picky

I can give some advice if you are using biscuits as dumplings they are not done until the begin to sink.

Out in the Styx in Arkansas. I guess my main issue is I didn't even know what a dumpling was when I moved here. I've had it explain to me but I don't have a very good point of reference as to what it's supposed to be like in general. @mlgh92

Use a normal recipe and make it your own, spice it up, make it thinner/thicker. You gotta find a recipe and make it your own! :) Where is he from?

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
