I went to the dr at 38 weeks 5 days with my daughter already 4 cm dilated and my dr was absolutely shocked that I was in no pain at all. my stomach would get tight and then release but that was it... little did I know those were contractions. they weren't even uncomfortable or anything. I felt nothing.

Also there is such thing as painless contractions. I've been trying to figure out what contractions feel like too because I've been having tightening of the stomach but no pain.

So if the baby is balling up, is that the samething as contractions or not ... And everytime I tried to close my eyes he comes

Contractions feel like really intense period cramps. If you cannot sleep through them or whatever you do won't take them away, then they're real contractions.
