"A mother should be getting praised not beat down over the fact that you wanted to take over a feeding or two, so stop being selfish. She will be having her hands full worrying about baby’s needs and wants she doesn’t need to worry about hurting daddy’s or a friends ego because they can’t help with feedings. If she chooses that route well good for her! She deserves praise not judgments."

@junesmommy15 my husband doesn't but his mom and dad are so annoying about it. My MIL wanted to buy formula behind my back so that she could feed him when I wouldn't pump. Her excuse was that "she wanted junior to love her too". My husband stopped her and told me about it. I was so mad. My babe was only 3 weeks then!

@Junesmommy15 and fil says that "holding a bottle would be good for the baby" and that I'm not "allowing him to self-soothe with a bottle"

I'd be upset with her buying formula behind my back. One of the main reasons my son hasn't been to my family's house is because I don't want to feed my son any table foods yet and that's all they talk about. They even went as far as saying I'm wrong for not giving him a chocolate cookie. A 7 month old.

Holding a bottle is good for the baby how?

@junesmommy15 whaat that's crazy! They just want the babies to love them as much as they love their mommies and they never will haha i have no clue my fil is crazy. He literally told me once that Sesame Street was the best baby sitter. Phillip is just turning 4 months old. Yea I'm gonna just let him watch Sesame Street all day, thanks. 🙄

Yeah that's funny. You're so right. They will never love them the way they love their momma. That won't stop them from loving them though. Since having my baby I realize how much MIL's like to tell us what to do with our children and how to do it. I learned to do what I do and ignore mine.

@junesmommy15, haha yea some things are definitely easier to block out than others. I try so hard not to let that bother me but it does. Especially if I know she thinks I'm doing something wrong..

Now I can definitely see why that bothers you. I would be so upset about the sneakiness and doubt.
