So unfortunately I ended up having a miscarriage at 5 weeks on January 9th. I bled for 4 days then stopped. They checked my hcg levels one last time last week and I was at 95. My husband and I have had sex 3 times since my miscarriage. Yesterday I had very mild bright red spotting twice when I went to the bathroom and nothing since then. I took a pregnancy test today and it was positive. They won't check my levels again for some reason and they didn't really tell me anything about what happens after you miscarry or anything.
So what I am wondering is could the test be positive from my miscarriage still or could I really be pregnant again?
and I know everyone is different but if anyone else has had a miscarriage around 5 weeks how long did it take for your levels to get back to 0? I went from 5600 to 1202 in a day then to 95 two days after that which was last week Monday.

see I wish I could force them to check my levels again because my sister had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and got pregnant 2 weeks later before her levels were completely down so her hcg was 133 and just started going back up from there because no one told either of us not to have sex until they were at 0. I'm just so confused and scared.

Just tell them that! Tell them there is a very high possibility of being pregnant AGAIN.

I did and they were just rude to me. I am going to call my insurance tomorrow to see if they cover my old doctor that was my on with my daughter and if they do I'm just going to call her. Do they normally just stop checking your levels before you got 0? It doesn't seem right... but like I said all they said to me was that I miscarried and no information or anything after that. I thought your levels automatically dropped to 0 right away until I went on webMD.

Yes it'll still test positive if your HCG levels are at least 5 or so. They don't drop automatically. It takes time for the body to rid itself of HCG. I had positive tests two weeks after my chemical pregnancy in 2013
