I took a test at 8 dpo exactly and it was positive. Everyone is different though, it is possible.

i think it depends. most I've looked at say best results as early as 3-4 days before your missed period. but some people dont get a BFP til after a week or so

I got a positive after being one day late and it was a strong positive.
