*QUESTION* (For the mothers who went natural) I'm thinking about going natural, but for my age I rarely hear about girls…

I thought it was best for myself and child I didn't like the idea of being on drugs while I gave birth. I've also heard more bad things about the epi and how it doesn't always work and it can fuck up your back.

My labor came on so fast that I kind of didn't have the choice in going natural it hurt like a mother fucker but it was really quick for me

I had planned on going natural with my first... And then failed miserably. I was not dilating at all and, having been induced, my contractions were terrible. Ended up getting the spinal and he was out within a few hours. I hope your attempt is much smoother!

@reaganmommy2015, I'm really scared when's it's time to push her out because of the pain.

@by ckolle00, yea, the epi doesn't always work, it didn't work for my mother when she went into labor with me

@evococa, sorry for my ignorance but I am a FTM and still learning, what do the doctors do to induce a labor?

@dja, the pain of pushing her out isn't as bad as the contractions you just feel a little pressure and a little burn downstairs

I'm having an all natural home birth!!

@altmom, I was thinking of doing it at home, lol but no I can't. I would feel much more comfortable with a doctor there to help me.

@dja, don't apologize! Haha. We're all there once (: but they started out with me by breaking my water with this giant crochet needle lookin thing lol. Didn't hurt or anything, but they hoped it would start contractions. It didn't ): so then they did an IV drip of pitosin (I spelled that wrong haha) which forces contractions. It makes them stronger and more painful I hear, but seeing as I have no means of comparison, I have no clue.

But in any case, natural or not, you do what's best for you and baby. As long as you're healthy, no one should have a right to judge you. It's YOUR experience. And if you go the natural way, more power to you :D as for the pain, as soon as that baby is out, you'll forget all about it. (:

@evococa, thank you for explaining that for me ☺️ did you feel them break your water? Was there a pain? And I watch A LOT of labor videos on YouTube and I love seeing that sign or relief on the mothers face when the baby comes out.

@da, It wasn't painful. It was a weird feeling more than anything. Kind of like baby moving, only less. And then all of a sudden it's like the floodgate was let lose and there was water everywhere ! It was sooo weird. It's actually made me really scared of going into labor normally, because I have no idea what that's like haha. Your brave watching labor videos! I'm still too scared to think about that part lol.

When they break you water you don't feel anything but a little gush of water and warmth
