@zoereddish-smith, aww well I really hope baby stays in til the end for you both xx
@mummyx316, thank you :) all is good now (i hope it stays that way too lol) and yes mother knows best! it doesn't help that my family can't carry babies full term me being the earliest born at 27 weeks so I'm hoping it isn't like that for me (skipped me with my girl as she was 2 days late) xx
@zoereddish-smith, I totally agree! I'd say always go with your instincts because a mother knows best! you're the one growing your baby and you learn it's little habits etc, they go by a general rule of thumb but just like every mother is not the same, neither is every pregnancy and baby so what happened to some won't happen to all. I'd always go get checked out regardless if I'm worried because it may be nothing but then it may be everything and I'd hate for something terrible to happen and I sit there blaming myself saying "what if". I mean the "worst" that can happen is that you go there and get checked over and baby is absolutely fine lol which I don't mind if it puts me at ease lool....I would say to never feel like you're wasting the midwives time of whatever because that's their job, to make sure mother and baby are ok, you did the right thing and I'm glad your little one is ok xx
@firsttimemummy21, I'm glad baby was OK I had similar problems with my first pregnancy and I remember one particular day I hadn't felt her move for the whole day, I called the labour ward and they kept fobbing me off! eventually someone told me to come in around midnight after I tried everything I could to get her to move and she wouldn't. Once They put those tight belt things on my stomach to keep an eye on her heartbeat she started moving lol and I was so happy, we did continue to have issues though and I had to stay in hospital for like 3 weeks before she was born on bed rest as they were scared I'd lose her, I even had to have scans every day and be monitored. It definitely pays to be vigilant as I almost lost her! but thank God she's fine and she's here and almost 10 now lol xx
I got told that baby won't move alot before 28 weeks and they don't usually see you until then I had a scare when I was around 18 weeks in alot of pain and baby wasn't moving (started feeling him just after 16 weeks) I got checked and he was ok but to be told something like that by a midwife really isn't helping xx
I had what I felt was reduced movement last week and even though I was only 19 weeks at the time I still went in to the hospital and they said not many people would have bothered and it was very good of me to go in :) baby was absolutely fine of course and started moving as soon as the midwife checked me over! Haha
Thank you :) xx
