The younger the baby the better. For one they won't remember the pain. And two since they're so little they won't know how to pull at their ears. Once they get older they won't even notice them because they will be used to it already, they'll think it's just a part of their body. Personally I'd wait until my kids ask me for a piercing but my husband wants to get my daughters ears pierced now ;c

I was thinking about getting my sons done too!!! The way I think about it is my parents got mine as soon as they could obviously I don't remember it at all nor did I pull them out or did they get infected.

if you do choose to do it go to a CLEAN tattoo shop. the earring guns are terrible for your ears

well I thank you ladies for your opinions!! I agree that we should wait but I wanted to save him from the fear... as a baby he won't remember the pain .. but you are right in the fact that infections and it ripping out is an option.. thank you again for your opinions!!

No its cruel and not keeping them from freaking out they will freak out more because they don't know what the heck is happening they are more at risk for infection, oh and ripping it out of their ear. I mean it's your son do what you feel like is best but I highly discourage it.

if you want your sons ears pierced get them. don't let anybody else's opinion change your mind. my son likes his earrings.

@3.26.16, yes they do ... and I agree @firefly but then again they can always take them out.. doing it young keeps them from freaking out
