Yeah shaking can denature the proteins and damage the cells. So swirling is best. I just do it under running hot water :) @burgescd
yes, to mix the fat back into the milk. I was told to swirl it not to shake but I don't know what difference it makes.

no. you warm it in a bowl/pot of warm water and you kinda swirl it around. don't shake it
