okay moms my son will be two weeks on Tuesday. he is breastfeed but it seems that no matter how much I feed him he isn't satisfied so I've had to chase breast milk with formula to fill him up (he will eat 2-3 ounces after each breast was fed off of). is this normal?? what advice do u have. I eat healthy and drink healthy with no caffine.
To boost your supply try oatmeal cookies they always help boost my supply.
I do @santistevanmommie I breastfeed until he gets aggravated that there's no more milk then switch to formula where he eats another two to three ounces. it's mainly at night that he does this though
@jessicakilgore92, cluster feeding is hard as hell but totally normal and it's best to let him nurse as long as he needs so your supply doesn't dwindle. It's not bad that you've supplemented but try to allow him to nurse as long as he needs
it sounds like to me that your LO is trying to tell your body to produce more milk. I've heard that babies can sense when they're about to go through a growth spurt and that the baby acts hungry to help your body produce more milk. I pump after I feed my son, he's 3 weeks tomorrow, to help with that.
I'm breastfeeding as much as possible and only resorting to formula if he still isn't satisfied. always said I wouldn't do formula but I'm at the point I have no choice n it kills me
I breast fed at first too & had the same problem so I switched to formula & my baby ate good & took a good nap loll
it's crazy cause my breast are filled to the max. if he doesn't eat every two hours I start leaking like crazy.
They have a tea that helps boost your milk supply. They have it at Walmart and at motherhood maternity.
