just got home from the hospital i left a 3cm open any chance ill be going into labor this week ??

there's always a chance.

you need to rest and relax you could go into labor but you don't want to for atleast another 3 weeks or so..

Did they give you a steroid shot to help baby's lungs? Or anything to stop the labor? They will STOP your labor before 36 weeks if they can. You absolutely do not want your baby to come before them, baby WILL be in NICU

That's weird. If there was even a chance baby could come, they should've given you the steroid shot. Take it easy mama. Baby needs just a FEW more weeks

@mamatobetayyy, they usually won't do the steroid shots unless they plan to deliver before 37 weeks. alot of doctors are trying to cut back on unessisary medications.. as long as she dosnt progress them she is fine..

yeah I have the shot Makena that I get every week it stopped my cervix from opening so I'm sure it'll help u but they only use these things in emergency situations

it doesn't necessarily mean the baby will be in the NICU if he comes before then. my sister had her baby at 34 weeks and got to go home with him the next day c: @mamatobetayyy

Then your sisters baby is a miracle. I can assure you the vast majority of babies born before 35 weeks need NICU care. Don't start this 'I know someone who's baby was and they were fine' facts are facts and this lady is only 33 weeks, her baby needs to stay in longer. Period. Also- they give the shot if their is a chance of delivery before 36 weeks... So clearly her doctor didn't think she was progressing and she was okay

I was 4 cm dilated for the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy....just take it easy and pay attention to any actual labor signs. My son stayed in till two days before my due date when I was induced so you could still go full term.
