Getting induced the 1st at 5:30 am. kinda scared fist baby so don't know what to really aspect. My question is…

I didn't get piticion but did get the epidural when I was induced

She's doing them both on me? is that something I should be worried about??

I got both and I had a quick labor

@tate201622, pitocin is used to induce labor and bring on contractions while an epidural is used to relieve pain (makes you numb from the waist down) so it's two different things altogether.

Oh okay well thank y'all more information makes me feel better an not so blind sided about things.

I got pitcon my water broke they had to induce the rest of the way they inserted a balloon in my cervix then gave me pitcon at 8:30-9pm. I got the epidural at 1:30am had him at 9:42am the next day it went pretty quick only 14 hours

I wasn't dilating past a 2 after 12 hours so they started me on pitocin. made the contractions kick in quick, took a while but once you get to a 7 goes quick. (my water broke first and I wasn't at a 1 yet so it took me 21 hours ) but ya. makes the contractions bad, but helps !!
