How long after giving birth do I receive the birth certificate?

My daughter got her 3 weeks after birth

i went to their office and got it

my hospital doesn't provide birth certificates, we have to go to the office and pay for them to receive them, they provide social security cards though.

I had to go to the court house with her social security to get her birth certificate.

six weeks if you applied in the hospital @denore

Here you either have to go down to the office that has them and buy one or you can mail in a form with the money and have it mailed back to you

I just got mine on Thursday so 3 weeks for both.

I got mine about a week after I got his social

@denore, we had our babies a day apart. I received birth certificate on Tuesday and still awaiting social security number.
