I don't think gripe water helps constipation. Try 2oz warm water and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Give it to her twice a day and it'll work! My son's doctor told me to do this when my son was a newborn.

I'm doing both ,,I'm not pumping as much breast milk as I was not enough to keep up with her through out the day so I give her some formula

Give her more milk! My son is having this same problem and I've been nursing nursing nursing! They need more fluids to get them going. Does she have hard poop or do you think she's constipated because she's grunting? The formula may be doing it.

Gripe water didn't help my daughter. Her doctor told me to add a half ounce to an ounce in her bottle. I did and it worked quickly
