My Boss: "You don't need to get pregnant right now."
Me: "Why do you think that?"
My Boss: "You should wait until you at married for at least six months. Six months won't make a difference."
Me: "Then I guess it wouldn't matter if I got pregnant now, would it?"
And that is the story of how I pissed off my boss for sticking her nose in something that isn't any of her business.
I got pregnant around the time my boyfriend and I were dating for 4 months and we're still going strong. People need to keep their noses out of other peoples business!
that is illegal. they can't not give he r a job or fire her for being pregnant..
@mrs.rds2 I think that it shouldn't matter to her. At least she didn't threaten your job for getting pregnant. I had a part time job on the side before I got pregnant to help out a friend of my best friend's mom. She owns an assistant living facility. She didn't hire me the first time I was pregnant. I miscarried , she hired me a yr later. I over heard one of the girls that work in the kitchen saying to her that she would want to work different days because her and her husband were wanting to try for a baby. she told her, "so when you get pregnant, you won't be working at all right?" and found a replacement for her within a week. So after I found out that we got pregnant, I put in my notice. Moral is, I don't think they should have a say in personal life especially if it won't affect work.
I was pissed, but I tried to stay calm. She was commenting that my husband has only been employed for a week and we needed to make sure it would work out, but I make enough money to support us until he were to find another if something were to happen, and somehow we would make due. we always have. but somehow, she thinks she has the right to give her opinion when I wasn't even talking to her.
exactly. My husband and I knew from our first month together that we wanted to marry. and we have been together for two years now. A baby won't be different. we know we want a child. it will happen eventually, so what is the point in waiting?
