@karnamarie, I don't mean this rudely but I'm sure she could use support. Saying something is the devil as its happening to her is not very supportive!
@karnamarie, uh did you not see the part where I said "I don't mean this rudely?" No need to snap back and tell me to move on. Being told something is gonna suck as you're doing it just makes it more scary. When in labor a lot of women end up going into fight or flight mode which makes it all the more painful. Telling her "pitocin is the devil" is probably going to amplify her pain. There's ways to be honest without being an ass. Like "I hated pitocin, I hope you get through it easily! You're strong and you can do this!" Your personal experience doesn't mean hers will be the same and it's pretty rude to add negativity to a situation, especially labor.
