I did mine at Fairview hospital by kamms corner. they took a group of us and showed us where to come in the building, they showed us how to get to labor and delivery, we saw the delivery rooms and the rooms you stay in after. We saw where we can get snacks and drinks from while we were there and we got to ask questions. plus they gave us a lot of information in an envelope
Here in Michigan, I've done one, and I called ahead of time and scheduled a time. We got there, walked around, met with a few nurses saw a room, got a copy of all policies and procedures, looked at the menu and just had a good talk with the head nurse. It was so worth it, now we're expecting baby #3 and in a totally new area, so I'll be doing another tour in my near future.
