Has Anyone In Their past pregnancies Have G Strep?. I'm Sitting Here Worried Cause The Way My Doctor Explained It To Me, But I Didn't Have It With My 4 Year Old Son... Advice Please??

I had it! nothing to worry about. If you aren't given antibiotics at birth than it could be a problem for the baby, but even then it's like a 1 in 1000 chance! If the baby contracts group B strep it is very dangerous. BUT it's all prevented 100% through antibiotics!

smh idk why she would tell you that. Those are things that can happen if the baby contracts it during labor. But that's why they give the antibiotics to lower the risk.

They'll just administer antibiotics thru IV while you're in labor. And bcuz of that you have to stay in the hospital for at least 48 yours after birth. But that's it. Don't worry.
