Do you always get stitches after giving birth?

that sounds terrible... is there anything garunteed to cause ripping ? 6 pounds 12 oz. sounds like a reasonable size but you still ripped 0.o @countyourblessings05

I pushed my daughter out naturally in 15 mins and ripped in 3 different places :/

the stitches do suck...

they gave me 6 different shots to numb me up... they kept having to stick me because at one point they were stiching me up and I screamed "I CAN FEEL THAT!" so they kept giving me shots :(

she was easy to push out, 6 pounds 12 oz. it really isn't bad, I didn't even know I ripped until my doc said I did..

the after care sucks worse than the actual stitching lol. I had to have my mom or bf help me up for a few days and I needed assistance in the bathroom and shower...

my son was very easy to take care of, from the day he was born he slept through the night.

yes I was and they give you pads, ice packs and witch hazel pads to help you heal down stairs.

hmm an ace and hydro combination... were you able to tend to your baby easily with the pain and medicine still ? @mamaofangelbaby0610

I was put on Norco.

did they give you a basic pain control or was it a manageable pain for recovering from the rip/cut? @mamaofangelbaby0610

yes they make sure you're numb before they start putting in the stitches so you don't feel anything @nuggets_mommie @courtney.emond

they numbed me! I didn't even know I had stitches until my sister told me that they had to cut my vagina.

from what my family has said it doesn't hurt, birth was so intense that you don feel it until after@nuggets_mommie @countyourblessings05
