you are 38 weeks so It's safe for you to do, but your baby will need the colostrum that your breast produce the first days of birth.

It won't be milk. Only a little bit of colostrum. Not worth it in my opinion.

is it still dangerous if I'm 38 weeks? @happymama203

pumping before your due can send you into preterm labor

you only have colostrum until a few days after you give birth and your milk comes it.
You shouldn't, from what I hear
My son loves the bottle more than my breast 😫 he gets so fussy when I give him my breast but has no issue with with bottle. As long as his eating I’m okay with it. I’ve been pumping and I hate pumping!!
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
okay so am 38 weeks pregnant can I start pumping and saving my milk
Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
If I just breast pump and feed him that by bottle is that okay?

@alyen2 my son was born at 35 wks and he was in the NICU for over a week just because his body wouldn't keep it self warm so I would wait if I was you. Even if you do start pumping its only going to be very little and colostrum (which is the most needed at birth). I didn't produce 4days until after I gave birth so my son had to have donated breast milk.
