try not to worry, those tests are not very accurate. My risk came back 1 in 12 and I had more testing done and the baby is fine.

Yeah I cried the whole first day they told me. Because my dr didn't really explain what the test is about or anything all they said was positive they didn't give me the ratio or anything. I had to look everything up online to understand it. The dr said she wants me to go get other testing done to be sure. What other test did you do? @momofmany

Try not to worry to much. I have read that some of those tests are reporting incorrectly. Pray about it. And if.......just love her the same.

Yeah I'm trying not to stress. Yeah I read that a lot of people get false positives I wish I never even got it! Yeah me and my husband already accepted the fact that even if she has DS we will never treat her different and love her the same. @knfletcher42

@mariemaverick, I had a more accurate ultrasound and additional blood work. They also offered an amnio but I refused that.

Yeah me and my husband decided that if the ultrasound and everything else comes back normal then we won't get an amino. But if everything is still positive and questionable then we will. @momofmany

keep in mind even with your numbers ( if they are even accurate) your odds of having a healthy baby is still like 99.6%. Those are good odds!

mine was a different story i got pregnant from my second and always said nope i want a boy not a girl ,i already had a boy but i saw how beautiful it was and i just wanted another boy well . few weeks later i ended up losong my baby and i feel ao guilty till this day . i want a boy and made a deal and i was left without a baby . its hurtful so now i am pregnant again and just hoping for a healthy baby ! goodluck mama everythings gonna be alright !

Thank you so much!!! I'm so sorry to hear that I hope you have a healthy baby and pregnancy. Yeah that's what my husband tells me is that no matter how our baby girl turns out that we should be lucky that we are even able to have her because some women can't have kids. And that we shouldn't care what gender the baby is. It's so crazy how something tragic makes your whole mind change. In the future and now I'll never care anymore what the gender is all I will worry about is the health of the baby. @annanichole
