I havnt read everything on here but ultrasounds can't tell the size it's a guess. all babys grow different. (I'm studying to be a doula) my first I was told was was at 10lbs an I got induced an due to my body an baby not being ready it lead to a csection. she was only 7 lbs 7oz. my second I was told I could vbac witch is a vaginal birth after a csection an that baby was about 8 1/2lbs. I pushed for 7 hours with a labor of 21 hours an he wouldn't budge so I asked for a csection an he was 10lbs 15oz. my 3rd was measuring at 9 1/2lbs came out 8lbs 2oz y first I had 2 weeks early due to what they were saying an induced me so yes she could have been bigger but the ultrasound was wrong for her current size. my 2nd I was 5 days past due an my 3rd I was 3 days passed due. there is no real way of telling how baby will grow of the size it will be. good luck an congrats on baby

well from what I've learned on my own, reading, the baby is supposed to gain 1/2 a pound per week up until the last month and then a pound a week in the last month, so he's probably gain at least another pound :) good luck... he sounds really healthy though :) good job mama

@wrd2016, yeah I'm supposed to find out how big they think he'll be at my appointment next week, the anticipation has just been killing me haha!

@foxy-roxy, don't eat much lol? What's that supposed to mean? baby still needs food and so do i, I'm not gonna starve myself.

ok well I'm 36 weeks, and all my apps and with everything I've read and the doctors have said, she should be between 6 to 7 lbs so it doesn't sound like your too far off, but the baby grows ALOT the last month. when you go to the doc ask them again how big they think the baby is, :)

just,don't eat much

I'm 36 weeks and my ob thinks my daughter is going to be on the small side bc of how tiny I am, and I'm all baby literally, so everyone is different but I'm going to look at my ultrasounds, but I think she's around 6 pounds lol

at 34 weeks my baby was 5lbs, I gave birth at 40 weeks and my daughter was 8lbs 8oz at birth.

i know that the baby grows the most in the last month, so if he was already 6 pounds he most likely is gonna be pretty big.. ive read that women are sometimes induced bc the baby gets too big after awhile to give birth vaginally, your how far along?
