Labor Story! :)
I came in yesterday at 40 weeks exactly for an induction. Admitted and pitocin started at 8 p.m. Contractions started to pick up but were bearable. At about 11:30, three nurses ran in and started throwing me all over the place and putting the oxygen mask on. Baby girls HR had dropped so we stopped pitocin for about 30 minutes. Everything went back to normal and doc came in At about 1 a.m. to check me. I was still only at a 3cm, so she gave me something to sleep and take the edge off. Contractions started really getting strong at about 1:45 and were coming about every 2 minutes. My doctor made the decision to start my epidural at about 5 a.m. so she could break my water and get things moving. Unfortunately the epidural only took effect on one side of my body so it wasn't totally successful but definitely helped. I was checked again at about 8:30 and was at a 5 and finally made it to a 10 at about 10:45. Doctor and nurses came in around 11:20 and after about 20 minutes of pushing sweet Hayden made her arrival into this world. I would do it all again in a heartbeat for her. So blessed that things went so well for the most part. Our baby girl is happy and healthy and that's what matters most! :)
Congrats! What a blessing 🙏🏾😇
