if you do a non-medicated birth and have to get stitches do they numb the area before stitching you up or no?
I had a first degree tear and it killed to walk and pee for about two weeks!!! the hospital gave me some numbing spray though!

@lun2016, yea that stuff @happyliz everyone is different I had a 3rd degree tear (2% of births have this stage) and also pulled my inner thigh muscles. Walking was difficult for 3 weeks. But hurt for 8 weeks and wasn't fully healed for 10 weeks.
yes they will numb u up I plan on having another non medical birth even tho I did the epidural class
does it burn or hurt a lot to pee and walk? if so for how long? @thehowtohippie
They will numb the area with a shot before stitching. Can't remember the name but it's the standard numbing shot

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls.
