if you do a non-medicated birth and have to get stitches do they numb the area before stitching you up or no?
I had a first degree tear and it killed to walk and pee for about two weeks!!! the hospital gave me some numbing spray though!
@happyliz, my child was over 9 lbs and his head measured at 98% size on the chart. I'm sure youll be better off then I was
@lun2016, yea that stuff @happyliz everyone is different I had a 3rd degree tear (2% of births have this stage) and also pulled my inner thigh muscles. Walking was difficult for 3 weeks. But hurt for 8 weeks and wasn't fully healed for 10 weeks.
yes they will numb u up I plan on having another non medical birth even tho I did the epidural class
does it burn or hurt a lot to pee and walk? if so for how long? @thehowtohippie
They will numb the area with a shot before stitching. Can't remember the name but it's the standard numbing shot
I had a third degree tear also and ripped some stitches trying to go #2....I ripped all the way from my vagina to my butt, it was just one big hole lol. Worst pain EVER
