I think it just depends on how healthy and how many follicles you have on each ovary. I had twins naturally and learned shortly after that I have 20+ healthy follicles on each ovary and that increases my chances of two or more follicles maturing and releasing an egg. I was an egg donor and would donate 36-46 eggs with each donation when average egg donors donate 18-24
