That was at a house tho this is at a rented nice venue i wish everybody could come but theres no room and its to much money to accommodate everyone its 100+ imagine if half of them brought their kids its just to many people smh @ximesmom

If they dont have childcare they dont have to come im not forcing them its an event for adults and the venue is to nice to have 25+ kids running around it has nothing to do with being a mom having kids of my own i had to stay home and not go to baby showers or other events when i was younger before cause it was no kids its what the host requested @kaitkerwin

@leiibaaaby, exactly. Same here. Everything was catered, and had a decorator etc and unlimited drinks. So kids would not fit in the equation

you'll understand when you have kids. sometimes it's hard to get childcare and they would rather be there and the only option may be to bring their kids.

I had the same problem at my wedding but YOU'RE the mom . It's YOU'RE babyshower so stand your ground . If they don't want to go because they can't take their kids then so be it .

Lol im not giving in at all ! Cause im paying so much money for them to have a nice time they could be eatting store bought nachos they are getting bomb food from a chef and desserts from a my aunt who has a catering business @nurseriri

@gabesmommy20, yes I was at a shower once where my cousin brought her 3 year old who threw a fit the entire time trying to grab presents what if one of then had been breakable and he had gotten a hold of it and broke it and he kept trying to put his fingers in the cake

There was kids at mine most between 3-13 yo and they were in living room the whole time while all the parents eere outside

@leiibaaaby, stand your ground. Don't budge. A good friend ask me to bring her daughter and I said no I can't. Then everyone would have an excuse. Same way I wouldn't take my son if it's not permitted. Have fun

Mine is at a really nice venue to i think they just think its at my house or something cause they act like they can't understand no you cant bring kids its not that type of party this time luckly your guest were understanding @nurseriri

I agree but ive thrown baby showers where i let kids come but it was never 100+ adults already thats alot of people if you think about it @aprillynn1101 i couldnt do a bbq because its winter no telling what the weather will be and technically it is just one big get together because its 100+ people at a venue that i had to book and pay for and theres just not enough room for people to be bringing all their kids especially if 5 people have 3 kids each thats 15 people that im getting food for and rented chairs/tables @mariahvalencia

@leiibaaaby, I had no children at my shower. Had it at a really nice place with no accommodation for kids. Everyone was understandable.

plus you have kids running around, and yelling, not to mention if you open gifts kids will be around you wanting to open them..at my son's first and second birthday he didn't get to enjoy any of his toys cause other kids was opening them I was so Pissed so this year we are just going to have my parents and grandmother if my fiancé parents want to do something for him they can

im just going to have one big babyshower/ bbq guys and girls both come just one big get together!!

mine is the same no kids!!! Teenage kids are ok but no young ones

I think people should be more considerate and not bring kids even if the person hasn't specified no kids cause it's time for adults and children running around is distracting from the point of the party and what your trying to celebrate
