Not an accurate indicator. My sons rate was always above 150, my daughters has always been below. But wives tale says the opposite. It even through my midwife off when she saw the heart rate and said "oh you're having another boy?" and I said NOPE IT'S A GIRL!

The old wife's tale is above 150 is a girl below is a boy.

You can't go off of heart beats my second before my last appt my baby's heart beat was 186 last week it was 156 and a bouncing baby girl... but there's a chance its a girl
