Okay, so I've heard that breast milk is the duct tape of the mother world, that it heals just about anything. My question is, I have an infected dermal (a piercing that is implanted and held in with fat tissue). I've had it for 3, almost 4 years & now it's trying to reject suddenly. It was perfectly fine during my pregnancy and now my son is 2.5 weeks old and it's really infected. I'm currently snowed in, and will be for another few days, so I can't get to ER to get it removed. Do you guys think I can apply my breast milk to it to take out the infection?
the peroxide makes the whole thing a lot worse, I had to already have 1 removed because of it. I know it's going to need to come out soon either way, but it's quite painful when I sit in a normal position (it's on my hips). I've checked Google and didn't come up with much but what can it hurt? it's already infected and needs to be removed (just waiting for snow to melt). I'm going to apply a drop and hopefully ease it off until I can actually get out.
if you put peroxide on it you need to rinse it afterwards. peroxide kills bad stuff but continues to eat away at the good stuff if not washed off.
Hmm.. that's a tough one. you should see if Google has any type of answer. I've never heard of it to take out infection, just help heal rawness and stuff like that. You could try hot water with Epsom salt though. salt water is what they give you to heal peircings.
I don't know if this is a logical reason to not use breast milk or not, so nobody jump on me lol but when I got my lip peirced I couldn't have any dairy or yeast products, no milk, until it healed a few days, because it could infect my peircing.
BUT, it is a different peircing, it's boobie milk so it's different.. I don't think a drop could do much harm..
I'm one of thooooose people lol
