does anyone on here work for cps or know someone that does? I have a question?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it is only immediate family that can take custody of the baby

I'm in ny and my cousin and his gf are court ordered to go to rehab with the threats of foster care taking their kid. they asked me to take her but I was under the impression that once foster care was involved, only immediate family can do that!

I use to be in foster care from 15-17 I know a lot about the general system.but every state is different

so you know about it I take it lol
