Anyone ever have a wisdom tooth pulled at 6 months prego? Did you have to have a release from your doctor before?
O okay. Well that's good cause I imagine it would be pretty painful without anything. ☺ @bubblebeck
@bubblebeck, yes i knw. i really wanted to get it done while pregnant. .. i have my own Insurance thru my job and i also signed up for Medicaid to cover any deductibles i have... but looks like i will hve to come out of pocket after bby
@djsmommy0516, ...they used a different of anesthetic than they would normally use. I didn't feel a thing. 😊
I'm sorry to hear that😔. Tooth pain is horrible to deal with. On top of the root canal I had a few weeks ago, I just had a cavity filled a few days. That's what I get for not seeing a dentist for over 18 years...and eating a bunch of junk food. Now I have to wait to get my wisdom teeth out and a cap on my Root canal...its expensive..until after baby.
yeah @bubblebeck probably so... i live in Arlington,TX .. it was such a hassle. . i missed two days of wrk in a row trying to see a dentist in my first trimester bcus my gums started bleeding every time i brush and one of my wisdom teeth was hurting so bad i couldn't eat... i just gave up.. im almost due to have the baby, i will try again then..
It might be different in different areas. I didn't get any release papers. My dentist referred me to the Oral surgeon. Also, my dentist recommends all pregnant women to get cleanings during pregnancy bc the baby can reek havoc on your teeth. I hope y'all find somebody that's willing work with you.@kay288, @ftm020216
** once i did get my paperwork, come to find out they wouldn't even clean my teeth bcus i needed a "deep cleaning" and being pregnant you can only get a regular clean.. i also need my wisdom teeth out but bcus my roots were so close to a nerve i was referred to an oral surgeon.. @kay288 i didnt even get them out.. sounded to scary.. lol
I heard they can do it but they wont give you any anesthetic or put you under so you would be feeling everything but Im not sure
@kay288, the dentist wont do any dental work, not even clean your teeth, until you have authorized paperwork from your OB... unless you find one. i couldnt find any dentist in my first trimester and i was just going for basic maintenance (cleaning)
Just realized you have either 2 weeks left in 2nd tri. If your in bad pain, it may be worth it to ask.
anytime you need dental work done during pregnancy you should talk to your ob first to make sure what need done is safe
I had a root canal at 19-20 weeks. I need my wisdom teeth out, but the oral surgeon said it was best to wait until after baby comes. The second trimester is really the only one that they'll do work in. You could ask your OB, but then you'd still have to find an Oral Surgeon willing to do it.
We have a racist on the APP ‼️
School fees
Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
We all have a different definition of “clean”🤢
Thanks @ftm020216 @bubblebeck and everyone else!!! waiting on my ob to call me back and let me know!!!
