Good morning ladies! I need some advice (once again 😉) this morning. So my doctor originally told me that the hospital where I'm delivering at will not induce me until I am 10 days past my due date. Now I went to l&d last night for pelvic pain and backache to get checked out and I am 0cm at 39.3 weeks. The nurse who I was talking to said since I have gestational diabetes they can induce me at 39-40 weeks. Can I ask my doctor to induce me since the hospital will or is it still his choice?

I was induced at exactly 40 weeks due to my GD my Doc said they wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks

You can ask but it's still his choice. I'm surprised he would let you go to 41 weeks having GD because almost everyone I know that has had it got induced between 38-39 weeks so the baby didn't get too big.

@soontobemomof5, that's what the nurse was telling me when I told her he said that I would have to wait until I was 10 days late. She asked if he knew I had GD.
