I called the specialist this morning to set up an appointment for an NT Scan and to check the babies for TTTS. they told me they never got my forms a few weeks ago from my doctor. that's why I never received a phone call for the NT Scan. I'm now over the period of being able to get that done. maybe they'll still do it. if the babies have down syndrome can they really do anything about it? regardless their my babies and I'm gonna care for them unconditionally. I definitely want them to check the babies Asap. I made an appointment the earliest they have is next Thursday. and I had to call my doctor to send over the forms. I just want to hear from this doctor the fluid is fine. the babies are fine their gonna be okay. their gonna have weight on them to take them home. your gonna have a good pregnancy. what every woman wants to hear. what I heard with my first pregnancy. I want this one to be the same. regardless I just want my babies healthy. I'm sorry if this creeps any woman out. it doesn't happen to everyone. I need to vent and need advice from woman who have or are going through this. I want what every mommy wants. a healthy pregnancy and healthy babies. So please don't take this as something scary. it doesn't happen to everyone. and it's out of my control.

They checked my baby for down syndrome at 19 weeks only because they seen a white spot on my babies heart

no most of the time they check you In case you want to abort (which bus wrong )

@brinleysmommy, o. yea I was curious. I definitely don't believe in that. I love my babies unconditionally from the start. I don't understand woman having abortions unless it's a life or death situation. but that's just my opinion. I don't really want to bash on woman who have. because the friends I have who did it, are really crushed by it. babies gave hearts by 6 weeks. how is it okay to have an abortion at 13 weeks? I know that's the limit, but damn. they've grown so much. I just couldn't live with myself doing that. I've researched on down syndrome too. and so many babies are happy, life changing angels. they look a little different, but are such amazing kids. regardless I'm blessed.

i believe you can have an abortion up to 20 some thing weeks is what my ob nurse said. Brin got tested for down syndrome and trisomy, shes completely fine but like you said I would loved her regardless @shannaa24

yes they called me a week later to tell me everything is good and my baby has no risk

I would think they would check the babies for down syndrome, just to know and to make sure they'll be okay. and put it down on their records.

20 weeks for an abortion sound crazy. give that baby up for adoption. you know as sad as it is. I thought I was pregnant at 14 or 15/with my ex boyfriend. my first everything. and my mom said she was gonna make me have an abortion. that's crazy. can a parent really decide that? I couldn't have gone through with that. I was way to young for a baby. and boyfriend was an idiot. but I would have definitely preferred to give the baby to a good family.

yes I totally understand the specialist asked me if I wanted to do this test to knowrite away if the baby had down syndrome which meant sticking a needle in my stomach which causes a miscarriage I said no rite away I couldn't do it @shannaa24

@jujulove13, I think with a single baby they only have that test. which hearing about what they do is scary. your better off not doing it. your baby could be fine and then that needle comes in. my doctor was telling me there's 3 different test. take a piece of the amniotic sac, or the placenta. the test I was gonna do is just a sonogram, to check the fluid behind their necks. and to get a blood test to check chromosomes.

Yea I just let them take blood I was not up for doing any other test I want my baby safe @shannaa24

@jujulove13, I was gonna do the sonagram cause that's the safest way. im curious if they offer it to all pregnancies. I don't think I had anything done with my son. I don't remember them even asking me to do the test. they definitely need to come up with better ways to check babies.

I know they checked with the sonogram measured my baby and everything and thats when they saw the white spot and had to check for down syndrome
