I'm 23 and I'm getting my tubes tied after this baby. This will be my third but my last one and this one are really close together. My son will turn a year two weeks before this one is due.

Yea. My mom and one of my co-workers keep it up with this non-sense of "What if the man of your dreams comes along" & Im just like "Well the man of my dreams will accept me and my 3 kids as his own and be able to be content with us not having a biological child together" Id accept his kids if he had some from a previous relationship. I cant live my life on "what ifs" Im a realist and live in the real world. I'm practically a single mom of 2 soon to be 3 children. I dont need another child. They are a blessing but Im content with 3. Luckily you have a supportive hubby. Ignore them. And Yes, adoption is always an option and a wonderful thing for many deserving children. 👍

@pretty_xoxo_giirl_, my mom and one of my sisters has treated me horribly since I announced that this will be our last baby. I have already signed my papers as well and am very happy with my decision.

@haylye, I am getting married in October and buying a house next April. I know how you feel with wanting that.

I also am having my tubes tied after the birth of this pregnancy . This is my third pregnancy and I'm having twins . Just as you , this pregnancy was a complete surprise and unplanned . I have a 6 & 7 year both girls and I had got to the point where I'm done . People may not agree with the decision to tie your tubes but it's a mature responsible decision . It's better than having another unplanned pregnancy or another baby you maybe can't afford . I'm 27 and people do look like what's wrong with you children are a blessing . My response is children are a blessing and I have my share .

I have endometriosis and it would double me over in pain I have had two surgeries In last 6 years. I thought about it to. if I have a boy..but eiher way I want to be on bc for at least 5 years so I can get a house and get married lol

I'm getting my tubes tied. 3 kids is alot of responsibility, and time consuming. Plus they are expensive. Ive signed my paper and am content with my decision. My mom, a few friends, and a couple co-workers keep trying to talk me out of it with their "what if's" I have 2 boys from a previous relationship and my daughters father and I dont really communicate or get along. Im not trting to have 3 or 4 different fathers in mine and my childrens lives. Do whats is best for YOU, your life, and your children. @shandee is 100% right. Who cares what people say, you know whats best for you, not them

Well none of those people have to deal with all the things you have to deal with, and probably don't even listen when you try to explain it. I totally understand your situation and I say do whatever you need to for you and your babies. Power to ya!!!

@babymay2016, that is very similar to how it was for my fiances mom and dad. His siblings are 20 years older then he is, so he was raised as an only child pretty much. Thanks for the support. Most people just don't understand my point of view on it.

My SO and I agree 100% on this issue. I have a blood condition that causes birth control not to work on me. All three of my babies were conceived on three different kinds of birth control. Plus pregnancy is extremely hard on my body with already having health problems before ever having children. I just feel it's time. I want to adopt in the future but we don't want any more children of our own ever.

Im 29 and pregnant with my 3rd little boy and im getting my tubes tied also. Im 100% sure that I'm happy with my 3 and plus i can not afford any more babies so if you feel you are doing the right thing for yourself dont even worry about everyone else because they will not be the ones financially taking care of any of your babies @siomama0421

I totally say you should do what you want and fuck what anybody else has to say! They aren't the ones that have to go through all that for you. My mother had me at 24, my brother at 27 and then accidentally got pregnant again 12 years later. My brother is such a blessing but I mean that's a pretty big gap and now her life is completely different. If that is what you want, do it! She did not get her tubes tied after baby #2 because of other people's opinions. Now she is almost 50 taking care of an almost 10 year old. Ain't nobody else here doing that for her, you know? Power to ya momma!

I'm 21 & this will be my 3rd baby all boys my oldest will be 5 & my 2nd boy will be 4 I'm planning on getting the mirena after the baby & it's your choice it's your body & if that what you want & your SO agrees with you who cares what anyone else thinks

You are still very young. I wouldn't get my tubes tied just because of what ppl are saying and end up regretting . Ppl are always going to have something to say whether good or bad . I'm 26 first child and Ppl still have something to say . Live for you. Maybe consider birth control for now until you decide you want another

i dont but i have a friend who is 23 she would have four kids but her third passed away from a heart issue as she was burying him she found out she was pregnant with her 4th i believe she still wants one more then i am not sure if she is having her tubes tied or hes getting a vasectomy they were practicing safe sex when she became pregnant with her 4th she was on birth control and using condoms
