Does anyone have a heart condition known or unknown and currently pregnant? I have been seeing a cardiologist to figure out what is going on and we have yet to find out. What should I expect from my obgyn concerning that? The further along I get, it seems like the worse I get.

I have my first appointment Monday. I am going to talk to her about it then unless it gets worse. Thank you!

I don't think so. I have all of those same issues (irregular beats, palpitations, and vtach) and I've never been considered high risk. But all drs are different. Does your OB know you've been going through this? If not, and you have another spell of blacking out before your appt I would call and speak with a nurse.

Since this is an issue would I be considered high risk? @debrabeck

Yea girl, I would definitely get a second opinion if I were you. I went majority of my life with drs telling me my issue was just anxiety and blah, blah, blah. When I was finally diagnosed I seriously felt like going back to every single dr and being like "HA!! SEE!!" Lol

He didn't even tell me anything about my monitor results except that he saw where I was having episodes. I'm just so confused with it all. I will be saying something when I go back. In November he put me on a beta blocker and something else but they made it worse so I quit taking them.

If you've worn a monitor and it happened while you were wearing it he should be able to tell exactly what's causing it. The different arrhythmia patterns pretty much tell what it is your heart is doing, whether it be PAC or PVC (these two are usually the culprit for the pitter patter irregular heart beat, I've lived with them my whole life), VT (heart speeding up), A Fib, etc, and it also tells exactly what part of the heart it comes from. Anything that happens will show up on the report that he gets back after you wear it. Also, in order for him to suggest an ablation he would have to know exactly what is wrong because they don't just go in and burn random parts of your heart for no reason. If he isn't able to tell you that information from the monitor I would request a second opinion, and even request to see an electrophysiologist.

I have worn a monitor for a month already :( he said something about doing the ablation but now that I am pregnant I am not sure what will happen. I also have skipped beats and irregular heartbeat and he wants to figure out what is causing it.

Your symptoms sound very similar to VT. Request to wear a holster monitor for a month to see if it will catch it.

I have something called idiopathic ventricular tachycardia, where my heart speeds up to like 200 beats per minute and then slows instantly back down after about thirty seconds. It causes me to black out whenever it happens. It happened frequently with my first two pregnancies, but I had a cardiac ablation in 2014 (where they pinpoint the area that's misfiring in your heart and burn the tissue). I havent had any where near as many issues this go 'round, thank The Lord! I just finished wearing a 4 week holster monitor to keep track of any VT or PVCs (skipped beats). I see my electrophysiologist on Thursday. Hoping for good news!

My heart rate gets extremely fast and I blackout. I don't see my cardiologist again until the 16th February and not sure if I should call before then since I'm pregnant or wait till the appointment. I see my ob on Monday.
