Ok. I've never seen it done this way, which is nice now that I see how it's really done.

@junesmommy15, no problem! I can see how it can look confusing. But the baby is swaddled after being harnessed properly :)

@isabelismomma, definitely not. Put her in a lighter fleece and cover her with a blanket and bring that one with for when you get where you're going :)

I see it now. I thought the straps weren't on the baby at the top.

My boyfriend got our daughter this coat but I don't think it's safe to wear in a car seat

I was told that the straps are to be in between baby's legs and over their chest and shoulders. Also that baby isn't suppose to be covered like that in the car seat. Instead dress baby warm and strap them in. Cover over the straps not under them.

Baby is buckled without a bulky coat and nothing is between baby and the car seat or baby and the straps ensuring that baby is properly harnessed.
