I start to add rice cereal to formula because my son has acid reflux. And I see that after feeding my son start to caugh. Is it normal?

just did my glucose test and im so amped up on sugar right now...i keep shutting my eyes to doze off and then i get extremely awake again! lol i started having Braxton Hicks contractions from the intensity of it meanwhile my son was kicking my guts in half. lol it was like Tang times 10!! i loved it... 💗😂😴😲
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.

seems a bit early for cereal. could be too heavy for his belly. my son had acid reflux and the formula that helped the most was similac alimentum. the only thing is, its sooo expensive. $30 a can. but he almost completely stopped throwing up and having that issue. the medicine they gave me for him made him worse so I stopped giving it to him and tried that formula, it was a miracle lol. I suggest testing out that formula.

@leosmommy724, i tried. He spit up more with alimentum. We r on enfamil gentlease. But he still gassy and fuzzy, but spit up very little. Only that it bothers him a lot when he have to burp. Seems like its burning in the throat. GE doctor gave us nexium but it didnt help and he was constipated for 4 days, so I stopped it. Start giving cereal, seems that it help a little but be start to caugh, and it bothers me.

I'm not sure why he would cough after cereal.. maybe allergic reaction? or just the start of a cold? hmm alimentum worked wonders for me.. he could have been allergic to that as well.. I had to test out a lot of formulas before I found the right one. does he have these little episodes where it gets so bad he can't breathe? my son used to get like that and I had to suck out his airway with the bulb syringe because he was basically choking n not breathing. seemed like a lot of excess mucus due to the acid reflex..

mine bypassed alimentum and ended up the whole way on the prescription neocate formula, which helps soothe acid reflux, protein intolerance and lactose intolerance. you may also want to talk to the doctor about liquid zantac. my daughter was on it for her first 2 months and then the acid reflux kinda sorted itself out

I have the same problem with my baby and the dr say need to take him to a gi dr :( I try all the formula and thing help
