my baby's umbilical stump fell off but it looks infected... his pediatrician is closed today. Do i take him to the hospital and what will they do to him? Will he have to stay there?😦😔 pic in the comments
And actually, his would ooze or bleed a little bit when bumped... It stained quite a few onesies! I'd read that as long as the bleeding stopped and dried each time, it was fine. He has a perfectly normal innie now!
Yeah, that looks almost identical to my boy's. It's just fallen off a little to soon and needs to dry out. In the next week or so, it will then look like there is a marble under the belly button and a ring of skin around it. Google this! I did! I saw all kinds of pictures that looked like my baby's and they were all normal.

Looks totally normal to me! Keep it dry, don't put anything on it. Infection would have green pus or wouldn't stop bleeding. My baby's looked like this, too because it fell off a little early before it could dry out. See a doc if you're really worried, but from the looks of it, everything is fine!

Take him in tomorrow if your worried for sure. Mama instincts know best. But it looks super similar to how my first's was. It just took some time to heal once it falls of. It's raw skin after it falls off.
Yeah just keep it clean if it gets worse or start bleeding bad I would take him but it doesn't look too bad. If it is bothering you you could still make an appointment. Just keep cleaning it like you did before

I do think it needs to be looked at by a doctor, but I'm pretty sure it could wait until tomorrow when his doctors office is open. Do they do same day appts? Even if not, they probly will for this. It doesn't look horrible but I'm pretty sure it needs to be looked at by his pedi just to make sure.

I'm not a doctor but it doesn't look bad to me. Keep it clean but I wouldn't worry. If it gets swollen or red on the skin surrounding it I would be worried.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

yes I believe that's discharge, my Dr told me it was ok a Lil bit of blood but It does has puss and it looks kind of red , you should check for a fever
