The nurse at my appointment today said I needed to take all my piercings out before going to the hospital. Did any of you other mommies have to do that??

I would also like to know the answer to this! I have 20 piercings and that would be a HUGE pain taking all of them out. btw we have the same due date inkedmomma!!

man I wish I could answer this but I took all my piercings out way before I even went into labor.

@secondchance, that's super exciting!! Boy or girl!? The reason they make you remove your piercings is because if you have a c section, they may have to use some electrical thing that can react to the metal and cause a burn. Just read about it. Lol

@inkedmomma, oh but if you don't have one you don't have to take them out? I've had several friends who didn't need to take theirs out. and i'm having a boy! what about you?

I don't know, I would call your hospital to see what they say. I'm okay with taking some out but I wanna put plastic in my philtrum and tongue cuz I NEVER take them out. This momma is having a little lady!!<3
