At what point have or are most going on maternity leave? I haven't decided if I am going to wait as long as I can or take off a week before my due date to get rest and everything 100% prepared.

I think it's totally up to you. I personally would be mortified if I was to go into labor at work in front of everyone so I'm taking leave the week before my due date.

Ya that is what I was thinking @inkedmomma I talked to my doctor and if I don't go into labor before then they are going to induce me March 8th if baby is head down. So I am thinking March 1st, but then that is a week less I get to be home with her since I only get 6 weeks

From what I was told, employers have to give you 12 weeks leave, but they're not required to pay you for all of it. I'm cheating the way I take leave cuz of all the benefits Wells Fargo has @ce095

FMLA doesn't kick in where I work until a year I will only be there 5 months :(

Call HR cuz there's suppose to be some law in Iowa saying they can't deny you FMLA if you're pregnant. I haven't been at my job for a year and I was approved for it.
