that's bs! I smoked up til 32 weeks... my baby was perfect... weighed almost 9lbs too and still has none of those problems after 8 weeks

I would just feel scared. I mean what if somthng happened or you got your baby taken away from you. Its 9months with out smoking weed. Doesnt sound that hard. its kinda selfish tbh. @laynedaniel im glad everything worked out for you tho. I personaly know ppl who didnt get so lucky..

yup she tested me every time... but I quit... I also am a manic depressant with major anxiety problems and a level 7 bi polar... on top of having adhd... I self medicated because the prescription drugs made me suicidal... plus fuck big pharma! I'm a naturalist I don't take any sort of pills ever... my therapist knew all of my head doctors knew and so did my ob... I never lied or withheld any of it.. they did drug test my son because I'm a known "drug" user... and he was negative for thc...

so that's never selfish... how could I be good for my child if I wasn't good for me? I don't smoke anymore because I have something to live for... im not depressed at all I'm still manic... but my anxiety had hit the floor... my son has saved me... now it's time for me to be my best for him so I can give him the life he deserves

what were they gonna do take away my bday... im almost 30... and I have private insurance... wasn't anything they could do... unless my son tested positive and he didnt... even if he did they wouldn't have taken him from me... I would have been made to take mandatory parenting classes and put on the dcfs list for a year... I live in illinois we get medical here legally with your script card

Yur age dosnt have anything to do with whether or not they can take your baby.... I guess mayb if your under 18. and having private insurance makes it ok to use drugs when ur pregnant?.... what if u had tested positive for meth or cocaine do u think they would say ok since u have private isurance its cool? @laynedaniel

every one is entirely entitled to their opinion but on my case it took me so long to conceive my son that I wouldn't risk it for anything ... everything it's possible it could go ok but it could go wrong really fast

@caseysmommy, yeah also it can cause the baby to have more problems with depression and anxiety later in life. I have seen so many moms say their baby's are so smart and fine after they're born and they start talking way before they should I'm like.... that wasn't because of a drug and if it was why are there equally smart babies or even smarter ya know and second if that woman really did smoke all the way up till 34 weeks it would have been a positive in the Placentia and they can have cps show up at your house to give you a drug test or house inspections because how do they know your not just doing something more than just smoking mj you would have to stop smoking at 20 something weeks for it not to be in the placentia. also if anyone finds this rude and mean . . . it's a mixture of fact and opinon.

also on another note also if you do test postive for MJ through out your pregnancy the doctors aren't going to tell you or report till your baby is born which also makes them just as much to show up in a random house check to make sure your not smoking inside. with you baby if you go back to smoking it and are doing out side I don't have a problem but there are moms who could careless if they do it outside or inside which could cause more problems for you child

@caseysmommy, Oh yeah! though what gets me is moms will justify smoking it because of nausea when clearly you can use other things that can help that in the same category which won't effect your baby like the lotions and oils well certaint oils but are like well it does this "No I'm pretty sure you can't go without getting high" because even then if you do have some sorts or depression and anxcity. or anything else there are things you can do with out having to smoke it

Yes forreal. I mean even if weed is the only think that helps with morning sickness (i doubt it tho) your beimg selfish af for smoking it. its 9 effn months. Shodnt be that hard. @laynedaniel, Pot is a type of gateway drug because anything can be but on serous note I have personally seen a person go from that to something harder and so I don't think she was catagorizing you as a drug addict but Mj is still a drug if it didn't have thc and didn't get you high when you eat it or smoke it than I don't know what is or have a person level of addiction physiological. personally anything can be a drug but don't get me wrong I think Mj had great potential medically so many things it helps with but it does have it's side effects as well

and why I mean from that to something hard is because pot just doesn't do it for them anymore the high isn't that great when you've done it for so long

well not irrelevant we weren't really discussing medically on it but that's fine I'm sorry you were offended but for me what irritates me is when mothers who smoke for medical issues no offense don't look more into using other possible more beneficial ways of using marijuana that won't harm your baby and don't get me wrong I know with certaint people they don't want to have to through getting there medical marijuana card and spend 60 to almost 200 on products but also some states it's still illegal so yeah smoking would be your only way to help you but when it comes to you or the baby I feel more obligated to do best for the baby and not saying anything to offend you or call you a bad mother im just saying that's my opinion

I had to do what I had to... you can't take medicines for that stuff while pregnant... or so I was told by my dr.s... but my was my go to... like I've repeatedly said... I quit while I was pregnant but I still did for a lil while during my pregnancy... my son is completely healthy... and almost 9lbs... it just irritates me when people have to be on this stupid shit... it's her opinion... and how reliable is the website she got it from...

@laynedaniel, Also I'm pretty sure it depends if you were a pretty heavy smoker to have your baby be effected also along how strong of a thc you used as well but yeah I mean you did what you needed to do
