How old does your baby have to be to eat baby food cause my mother tries to feed my child she's four months old and get mad when I say not to talking about she has had kids before she knows more than me
The problem here is that food disrupts an undeveloped digestive system and disturbs the healthy gut flora that's building. Because of this, the body may build up an intolerance to that food and cause allergies later. Some allergies react only causing damage from the inside, too... so while you may see no signs of an allergic reaction on the outside, there could be issues inside that will create health problems later in life (asthma, ibs, etc.) Doctors love to suggest rice cereal to "fill" a baby, but the truth is, by filling a baby with rice or oatmeal, you are therefore giving them LESS of the nutrients they need from bm/formula since they are getting full faster. This is more dangerous than people care to realize. You gotta think long term with your baby. I cringe when I hear doctors recommending 4 months. They are obviously not keeping up with current medical research and trends. My pediatrician was saying I could wait a year if I wanted to, but she highly advised against anything sooner than 6 months. She didn't even seem too comfortable with that, which is why we are strategizing for a 9 month plan. When in doubt, do your own research. Ask questions. Get second and third opinions. Your baby's health should always be your number one priority. Always.
my doctor will have us start at 4 months but I know some recommend waiting until 6 months. I think it all depends on the child. every child is different
I was told around 4 months too with rice cereal and if I wanted food I could but don't switch to something new until she had the same thing for 3-4 days to make sure she isn't allergic then try something else but also don't have the same color because if she doesn't like something white like potatoes and she doesn't like it then you try bananas that are also white she might not like it because she might associate them as same thing.
i started baby food @3months only cause my mother told me he needs it now i have the heaviest baby ever 😂😂😂
My dr told me to start rice at 4 months and then once I knew she wasn't allergic to that to start with green veggies then to orange and then start fruits. It's all up to what you think is best and your Drs word!
my mom fed me baby food at 4-5 months and my sister in law did also. im sure its fine:)
I was formula fed strictly and so were my brothers and we had baby cereal in our formula . not a lot just a lil so it didn't take away any nutrients but I bought the organic kind for my son . easy digestible and it also has no additives and it says baby first food. people think its always wrong to feed babies just a lil cereal at this age but it all depends on the baby . my son loves his cereal . if I knew this would harm my baby I wouldn't give it to him . but my son drinks 12 oz sometimes more so I give him the cereal mixed but not all day tho just morning and night .
