It's definitely best to wait. Look up more on "the virgin gut" and solid readiness. It's really best to wait. Rice cereal is also something to look more into as it really has no nutritional value and shouldn't be put into bottles as its a choking hazard.
@jessicatollette14, Well I stopped breastfeeding at 2 months because my milk stopped producing milk I tried everything for it to come but nothing.. So he started formula (Enfamil) then at 3 1/2 months 4 months I started putting baby cereal in his bottles then still at 4 months I started giving him baby food stage 1 also feeding it to him by mouth and putting both ceral an BabyFood in his bottles he loves it an keeps him fuller an he sleeps longer at night plus he on the right weight for his age..as well now he's 7 months an he wants to eat everything I give him veggies, rice , potatoes, an started giving him all white plain chicken little pieces an other fruits an veggies you can try it as long as your baby is comfortable you'll know as you do this an he grows @jessicatollette14
I've been putting rice/baby oatmeal in his bottle for a few weeks now. He seems to be getting fuller from them now. I read the article @kmally posted but he doesn't sit up yet so maybe I shouldn't. How did your son do with it @ashley_abby20 ?
